Did you know that natural gas burns more cleanly than other fossil fuels because of fewer emissions of sulfur, carbon and nitrogen than coal or oil? That is why when natural gas is burned, no traces of ash particles can be seen. This is the reason for the growing concern on the use of natural gas to generate electricity.
However, there are environmental concerns with the use of fuel. Burning natural gas produces carbon dioxide which is a very important greenhouse gas. These greenhouse gases are what’s transforming our global climate into something dangerous for human existence.
Natural gas contains methane and this gas can sometimes leak into the atmosphere from the drilling wells, storage tanks, and pipelines. Good thing that these pipes and storage facilities are safe thereby preventing any explosion.
